Updated 02Feb12 2012 Gathering of Guilds Saturday, February 25, 2012 9 am - 4 pm Come and help us celebrate our 10th Anniversary! 10th Annual Gathering of Central PA Fiber & Needlework Guilds will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2012 from 9 am - 4 pm at the Swatara Church of God Gymnasium, 4860 Lindle Rd, just off I-283, Exit 2 Swatara. Admission is one canned food item for the Central PA Food Bank. In place of Make-it/Take-its this year, you will have the opportunity to attend several lectures/demos to be held in the Sanctuary area of the church. 11:00 am: "Showcasing Pennsylvania's Best," James Sharp, Show Manager/Competitive Agricultureal Events for PA State Farm Show. NOON: "The State of the Craft," Sherrie Boyer, Executive Director of the PA Guild of Craftsmen 1:00 pm: "From Fiber to Fabric," Terry Kunst, Hand Spinner, Shepherdess & owner of Twin Ponds Fiber Farm Times to be Determined : "Infinity Scarves, Machine Embroidery, and Continuous Binding," Patsy Sweetra, American Sewing Guild; "Lace: A Web of Beauty & Intrigue," Deb Bender; "Appraising Quilts and Judging Entries" (tentative) For More Information: >>>>Help us GO GREEN!<<<< please send your email address to gatheringofguilds@att.net or send your mailing address to Gathering, PO Box 62032, Harrisburg, PA 17106-2032. Parking: If you are planning to spend most of the day at the Gathering, we encourage you to park across the street at the WITF building. The church will have a shuttle van running to take you to the church and back. Thank you! The church provides homemade soups, sandwiches and baked goods for sale. We encourage you to support their sale because they provide the facility, parking, and volunteers at no charge to us.
